What are user roles?
Futureproofs uses the concept of user roles to control the access different users have to particular projects.
The four roles available within a project are:
- project owner - can do anything;
- proofreader - can do most things;
- author - can do some things;
- designer - can do some things.
By assigning an appropriate role to a user, the project owner can restrict their access to certain functionality (such as management reports) or present a more appropriate interface (as with the author markup mode that gives authors a more appropriate set of options during proof correction).
